The historic village of West Derby is situated close to Croxteth Country Park. The area offers an excellent public transport system with frequent bus services to Liverpool city centre and to the North and South of Liverpool and easy access to the motorway systems such as the M62 and M58. West Derby is situated 5 miles from Liverpool city centre which apart from a large shopping area offers such tourist attractions as the Albert Dock, Beatle City, The Walker Art Gallery and The Liverpool Museum.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is one mile away from West Derby Village with the other main hospitals situated in the city centre.
